| Customer Reviews: Still going strong! June 21, 2009 D. Madden (White Lake, MI United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I to bought mine on Black Friday 2008. It was our 4th HDTV. Good size for the master bedroom. Haven't had any issues. Picture is very good, I think it pulls in (off the air) channels better than some of the other HDTV's in the house. I like the remote, plenty of functions, good size. TV even offers program information which our more expensive LG and Panasonic do not. Only thing it (the program info guide) can be a bit difficult to read. It's large but translucent so it's tough to read depending on the TV program showing behind the guide.
Other than that very small issue - the TV has been great. Glad we bought it.
High Quality, Worth Buying December 7, 2008 Chopin Yu (Los Angeles, CA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I don't have problem with this HDTV. I still think it is a best deal with the very nice picture and sound quality. I bought it during Thanksgiving sales from Target. I hooked it up with a regular common antenna; and I did a full channel-scan by following the instructions on the manual. As long as it catches the digital signal, the picture quality and sound are great. For example, in my local area, picture and sound quality from the digital channels such as Channel 2.1 (KCBS), Channel 4.1 (KNBC), Channel 5.1 (KTLA) etc. are superb, crystal clear--I can enjoy watching the news reporter's beautiful pupil. This HDTV reaches a high quality of engineering design. For those who complained about the buzz noise, I would suggest them to check the external input to the TV, which is possibly the source of the buzz noise came from. I never experienced any buzz noise from my unit of Westinghouse HDTV. My only suggestion to Westinghouse is that they need to put a little more effort to the design of the on-screen menu. It doesn't look that fancy but it is fully functional without any problem. Thanks Westinghouse for the high quality of HDTV. You got my A rank. If you redesign the on-screen menu to make it look nicer, I will give you A+.
audio issue December 1, 2008 pity sing 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this TV thinking it was a good deal, and then realized that the low price reflects the low quality of the TV. The audio has a constant, audible (and distracting) buzz whenever the TV is on. I replaced the TV with the same model, thinking it was a faulty TV, but the 2nd one has the same problem! Westinghouse customer service blames the Cable connection, but Cable has checked it twice (and replaced the box and connections), and i have talked to someone else who has the same model and, of course, the same problem. Bottom line, this model should be recalled.

Westinghouse SK-32H540S 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV
I bought this TV thinking Wow! what a great deal and originally, the TV was great. Great picture quality, kept up with fast action, great sound. THEN JUST TWO YEARS after I bought it - it just quit. Nothing. Called the Westinghouse customer support and was told to contact the two repair companies in my area. Called them and BOTH told me to just throw it away. By the time the parts were ordered and came in, I'd have spent more on repairs than simply buying a new LCD TV. The repair people told me that they have had a lot of customers with this same problem and that this brand is absolute junk.
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!!!
